Now you know the 2 best products known to combat hair loss, now what?
But be CAREFUL.
Both finasteride and minoxidil are approved medicines.
1. In order to be an approved medicine, the product must pass stringent test’s. They must be safe (all medicines have side effects, safe means accepted side effects and not side effects that can harm a person, disfigure etc.)
2. They must pass proper, independent clinical trials. A proper clinical trial is proving without a doubt that the medicine does what it is created for and is much better than a placebo. Clinical trials are done by using a group of people that are taking the medicine and a group of people that are taking a form of the medicine which has no active ingredient (placebo). None of the participants know who is getting what medication. Proper, documented observations are made to record the trial findings.
3. The clinical trial must be specific and prove the product is affective for what it was created for. For example, if you create a cream that is very affective for fungus then the clinical trial must prove that the product is much better than a placebo against fungus. If the product pass’s the clinical trial you cannot claim it is an approved medicine for fungus, cracks, split toe nails, inflammation in your toes etc. That is actually illegal and fraud.
4. So many herbal and natural products are not approved medicines because they all know their products would not pass a clinical trial ie. They cannot prove that the product, without a doubt, actually works. You will see they use words like ‘can’, ‘is known to’, ‘has been used for centurys’, ‘a recent study’ blah/blah bullshit!!!
5. The herbal and natural product’s are often advertised with ‘proven test’s and result’s’. What they actually referring to is that 1 ingredient of the product has been tested with proven results and therefor all the ingredients are proven and tested. That is very misleading, untrue and often the product that was ‘proven and tested’ was for something completely different. An example is that a cream was tested for itching and allergic reactions to the skin. The product passed the test and now the manufacturer claim it is has proven results to work against fungus.
6. If any product refers to a test, trial or study there must be a * next to the statement and a reference to the actual test, trial, study where you can look up the actual test, trial, study.
7. Medicines are only approved after clinical trials have been done on humans. It means shit if there are amazing results in a laboratory or a petri dish. Just ignore any product as bullshit no matter what sort of science and results they throw at you. What all above basically means is that there is a very murky, grey area to what people can advertise their product’s as and it is very difficult to find your way through fact and fiction. Unfortunately this also affects minoxidil and finasteride.
